Questions worth asking before you hire a studio.

The questions worth asking before you hire any studio, answered in one place. If your question isn't here, email the founder directly.

01 Working together

Who actually does the work?

Temim Turkusic, the founder. The person who hears your brief on day one is the same person who designs it, builds it and launches it. There are no juniors, no subcontractors and no handoffs.

What kind of companies do you work with?

Established companies across Europe, mostly in luxury real estate, wellness and B2B services such as fire safety and building services, whose work is better than their online presence, or whose operation has outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools.

Where is Unlockd based, and do you work internationally?

Unlockd is a European studio based in Belgrade, Serbia, one of Europe's strongest engineering hubs, and works with clients across Europe, including the Netherlands, France and Serbia. It isn't an outsourcing model: the founder you speak to does the work. Everything runs remotely: written communication in your language, calls in English or Serbian, with a reply within 24 hours and calls in your time zone.

How many projects do you take on at once?

No more than 2 a month. It's a deliberate cap: it's what lets every project get the founder's full attention.

What is The Unlockd System?

It's how we deliver brand, website and custom software as one project, built by the same person, so the three never contradict each other. You can also buy each one separately.

02 AI-native

What does AI-native mean at Unlockd?

AI is built into how every project is made, not bolted on at the end. The founder works with Claude, Cursor, Codex and Figma across strategy, design and code, so one senior person delivers what usually takes an agency team, faster and at a fixed price. Every decision, and every line that ships, is still reviewed by the founder.

Is our data used to train AI models?

No. Unlockd only uses paid AI plans with model training switched off, so your documents, code and customer data are never used to train AI models. Your data is handled under GDPR and stays within the project.

Can you add AI features to our website or software?

Yes, where they earn their place: automations, assistants and smarter workflows inside your website, booking system or internal tools. Relax Club in Belgrade already runs on one: AI agents in the daily workflow, WhatsApp through Meta, 24/7 booking and cancellation, a client records database, an online till and automatically generated personalised vouchers. SM nekretnine writes SEO copy automatically for every new listing, and Plotix predicts property prices from 18 signals.

Will AI make my website look generic?

No. AI is used to explore options faster, not to decide what your brand looks like. Every layout, typeface and line of copy is chosen and refined by the founder, and nothing is shipped the way a model first produced it.

Who owns work made with AI?

You do. Code, designs, copy, domain and accounts are transferred to you in full. Every deliverable is directed, edited and approved by a person, so it's your work, not a model's output.

Does AI-native mean cheaper?

It means better value, not a discount studio. AI removes the hours an agency would bill for coordination and repetitive work, so a senior founder can deliver the whole project at one fixed price, in weeks rather than months.

03 Pricing

What does it cost to run the site after launch?

You own the site, so there are no licence fees to Unlockd. You pay the providers you use directly: typically the domain, hosting (many company sites fit a free or low-cost Vercel plan), email, and any paid services such as a CMS plan, fonts, WhatsApp messages or AI usage. We list the expected running costs in the proposal. Care plans for updates and changes start from €150 a month and are optional.

What does fixed price really mean?

The number on the proposal is the number on the invoice. Strategy, design, copy, development, three revision rounds per phase and launch support are all included. If the scope changes, you approve a written change order first, never a surprise.

How much does a website or brand identity cost?

Websites start from €3,900, brand identities from €1,900, and brand and website together from €5,500. The final number depends on page types, languages, integrations and content, and you get it as one fixed price after a short scoping call, before you commit to anything.

Why don't you bill by the hour?

Because hourly billing rewards slow work and puts the risk on the client. A fixed price means we carry the risk of estimating correctly, and you know the full cost on day one.

Do you offer a website audit?

Yes, as a paid, standalone engagement. The founder reviews your website, brand and conversion path and delivers a written diagnosis with a prioritised action plan. You can use it with us or with your own team.

04 Timeline and process

How long does a project actually take?

A standard company website takes 2 weeks once content is ready and feedback comes back within a day or two. Brand identities take 3 to 4 weeks, brand and website together 3 to 4 weeks, and custom software reaches a first working release in 3 to 4 weeks. Larger scopes take longer (the ANiX brand and website, for example, took six weeks). You get the date in writing before you commit, and we hold ourselves to it.

What if I don't like what you make?

Then we keep going until you do. Three revision rounds are included in every phase, and if something still feels off after that, we fix it at no extra cost. A genuinely different direction is a scope change, agreed in writing first.

What do you need from us?

One person who can make decisions, 60 to 90 minutes for the positioning session, access to your current site and tools, and quick feedback at the agreed checkpoints. We write the copy; you check it's accurate.

Can we start with a small project first?

Yes. Start with a website audit, or with a standalone discovery phase: a written plan with a fixed quote, which you can take to any team.

05 Technology, SEO and AI search

What technology do you use?

React and Next.js for websites and applications, Prisma and PostgreSQL for data, and a headless CMS for content. It's the most widely used modern stack, so any competent developer can take over the code.

Will my website rank on Google?

Every site ships with the technical foundations: page titles and descriptions, canonical tags, structured data, hreflang, a sitemap, redirects from your old URLs and fast pages. Ranking for competitive terms also needs content and time, and we'll tell you honestly how much.

Will ChatGPT and other AI assistants be able to find my business?

We build for it: full HTML served to every crawler, pages that answer questions directly, schema markup describing your company and services, and an llms.txt file. Sites built as client-side JavaScript apps are often nearly invisible to AI crawlers.

Do we own the website, code and files?

Yes, completely. Your code, domain, hosting, database and design files are handed over. No lock-in and no licence fees.

06 After launch

Do you disappear after launch?

No. Post-launch support is always included in every project, and simple monthly care plans are available for the long run. Your site stays in the hands of the person who built it.

What do we receive at the end of a project?

Everything in the agreed scope, ready to use: the finished website, brand or software, source code, accounts, documentation and all images, plus the logo, visual identity and brand guidelines when branding is part of the project. Post-launch support is always included, so the site stays in safe hands.

Can we update the website ourselves?

Yes. Text, images, case studies and journal posts are editable in the CMS without code, and you get a recorded walkthrough at handover.
