A new practice got a calm brand of its own and a site in two languages that answers the questions clients ask before they book.

AmelaWise is the practice of Amela Merdovic, a complementary therapist offering Reiki, Yoga Nidra and head massage in Amsterdam and online. We designed the brand and logo and built the website, booking, journal, knowledge base and SEO as one system, with a Next.js front end and a PHP CMS.

The challenge

Before: A new practice with no brand, no logo and no website yet.

Reiki and Yoga Nidra are unfamiliar to many people. Before they book, they want to know what happens in a session, whether it helps with stress or sleep, and whether their supplementary insurance pays part of it.

The practice had to feel calm and personal, not clinical, and reach both Dutch speakers and Amsterdam's international residents.

What we built

A brand built around a hand-drawn monogram: one continuous line that forms the A and the W and ends in a leaf. Soft paper tones, a serif with an italic accent and quiet photography.

A website in Dutch and English, with a page for every therapy, prices and packages, gift cards and both practice locations.

A booking form that asks for the therapy and for an in-person or online session, so every request arrives complete.

A knowledge base written for search and for AI answers: a journal, a glossary and short answer pages, plus a clear page on reimbursement through Dutch supplementary insurance.

Technical SEO from day one: structured data for the practice, its locations and its prices, and a full sitemap in both languages. Content is managed in a PHP CMS behind a Next.js front end.

01

A monogram in one line

The A and the W drawn as a single continuous line that ends in a leaf: calm, personal and easy to recognise.

02

Two languages

Every page in Dutch and English, for Dutch clients and Amsterdam's international residents.

03

A knowledge base for search

A journal, a glossary and answer pages that answer the questions people search for before their first session.

04

The insurance question, answered

A clear page on how Dutch supplementary insurance reimburses part of the treatments.

The result

The site went live in 2026 with 232 pages across two languages: in each, 12 journal articles, 57 glossary entries and 30 answer pages.

Texts, prices and articles are edited in the CMS, without a developer.
