Rebranding a 20-year Dutch fire-safety specialist: a generic template replaced by a brand and website built as one system, and a contract won.
ANiX has protected buildings across the Netherlands for two decades. Fire detection, evacuation systems: the kind of work where a mistake is not a bug ticket someone fixes next sprint. Their standing in the trade was earned slowly and carefully. Their website said almost none of it.
Before
An old WordPress site on a generic template, the same one a hundred other contractors in the sector also run. Stock layout, stock photography, copy that could belong to anyone in any country. Nothing about it was technically broken. That was the problem. It was anonymous, and anonymous is the one thing a twenty-year specialist cannot afford to be.
Why a generic template was costing them
In fire safety, the buyer is handing you their compliance and, literally, the safety of the people inside their building. They are not comparing prices on a commodity. They are deciding whether to trust you, and the first evidence they get is your site.
A generic, unmaintained template tells a trust-critical buyer the exact opposite of what twenty years of careful work earned. Worse, it flattens you. Side by side on a results page, ANiX and a six-month-old competitor looked interchangeable, because they were wearing the same theme. Credibility that took two decades to build was hidden behind a layout anyone could buy for the price of a lunch.
The intervention
We rebuilt the brand and the site as one system: founder-direct, no handoffs, the approach behind The Unlockd System. One coherent identity, carried straight into a site built to make the seriousness of the work legible: the standards they meet, the buildings they protect, the precision of how they actually operate. Not a brochure that lists services. An argument for trusting them, made in the first five seconds.
Because the brand and the site were built by the same hand, there were no seams to give a buyer pause. The thing that looked serious also read serious, all the way through.
After
The change showed up where it matters. Inbound inquiries went up, and from better-fit buyers. Clients began remarking, unprompted, on the new online presence. One contract came in directly through the new site, traceable, start to finish, to the rebuild.
The founder put it more simply than I could: the brand finally matches twenty years of trade.
That gap, between how good the work is and how good the site makes it look, is the most expensive thing on most industrial websites, and the least visible to the people who own them. It's exactly what our website audit is built to find. I'll show you, in writing, where your credibility is leaking before a buyer ever picks up the phone.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a generic website template hurt a fire-safety company?
Fire-safety buyers hand over compliance and the safety of the people in their building, so they buy on trust. A template shared by hundreds of contractors makes a 20-year specialist look the same as a six-month-old competitor and hides the credibility that decides the deal.
What changed after the ANiX rebrand?
Inbound enquiries increased and came from better-fit buyers, clients began commenting on the new presence without being asked, and one contract was traced directly to the new website.
